Chanel Tobler

Chanel Tobler works across drawing, painting, collage, sewing, informal photography, and writing, developing a largely abstract practice that is intuitive, process-driven, and responsive to materials, gestures, and forms. Her work traces personal, relational, and collective experiences, exploring how memory, emotion, and the body are inscribed and carried through time and space.
Tobler has a Bachelor of Fine Art, National Art School, Sydney and a Bachelor of Arts (Anthropology) from the University of New South Wales, Sydney. Tobler has exhibited extensivley in NSW and the ACT and has work held in public and private collections in Australia. She has been nominated as a finalist in the Redland Art Awards, Redlands Art Gallery Gosford Art Prize, Gosford Regional Gallery, and received the Commended Award-Young Artist Prize, NSW Royal Art Society, Sydney.
