Lucas Howard is a Sydney based artist whose practice explores the unfolding nature of painting, seeing it as tentative conclusions. The works are abstract visually, yet they carry a defined relationship to the world at large, bridging the two together so as to rest lightly, and openly, while focusing on the imaginative response. They are by their own nature plural, moving freely with the viewer’s own perception. Lucas graduated from the National Art School with a BFA in 2018, and an MFA in 2020.
