The series explores notions of transcendence and stasis; depicted through internal landscapes that employ the spiritual power of form and colour. This visual language of ‘intimate immensity’ allows for a macro and micro reading of the work, as the dotted airbrush technique reverberates off the canvas. Small constellations of dots are woven and layered together to track and define broader topographies. Griffin’s work does not seek to obscure or mask; rather, it illuminates, flourishes, and celebrates.
